One such initiative, led by Wickramarachchi Opticians & Hearing Care with support from the Faresmaathodaa Council, served over 1,000 Maldivians with critical healthcare services. Highlights include:
- Free Prescription Glasses: 400 pairs distributed.
- Hearing Care: Free treatments and devices for hearing impairments.
- Expert Team: Opticians and audiologists delivering services over three days.
Grateful for this support, the Faresmaathodaa Council praised Wickramarachchi’s contributions, extending beyond expectations to include hearing care.
However, challenges remain. Sri Lanka’s market share in Maldives’ imports has dropped to 4.65%, signalling the need for renewed trade efforts. Initiatives like these, supported by organizations like the Wish Foundation, emphasize the power of partnerships in strengthening relations.
