Job Overview:
Are you passionate about helping people achieve a clear, healthy vision? If you're a detail-oriented and compassionate professional with a strong understanding of optics and patient care, we want to hear from you! As an Optician, you will play a key role in helping patients select eyewear, adjust prescriptions, and maintain their vision health.
Key Responsibilities:
-Provide patients with guidance and recommendations for eyewear, including eyeglasses and contact lenses, based on their prescription and personal preferences.
-Assist in selecting appropriate lenses, frames, and other optical devices that meet the patient's needs.
-Measure patients' eyes to ensure proper fit of eyewear, including pupil distance, and other key measurements for correct alignment.
-Educate patients on the proper care and maintenance of their eyewear.
-Ensure all optical products are fitted accurately and comfortably, making any necessary adjustments.
-Collaborate with optometrists and ophthalmologists to ensure accurate prescription fulfilment and appropriate vision care.
-Maintain accurate patient records and manage inventory of eyewear and optical supplies.
Stay up-to-date on the latest optical trends, technologies, and advancements.
Job Requirements:
-Diploma or equivalent; additional certification in opticianry or a related field is preferred.
-Proven experience as an Optician or in a similar customer-facing healthcare role.
-Strong understanding of optical products, lenses, frames, and prescription details.
-Excellent customer service and communication skills to interact effectively with patients.
-Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities and the ability to work with precision.
-Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment with optometrists, ophthalmologists, and other healthcare professionals.
-Ability to work in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment.
