Job Description: We are looking for a skilled Biomedical Technician to join our team in the optical and hearing aid equipment sales industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and calibration of optical and hearing-related devices, ensuring they meet high-quality standards and customer satisfaction. This role involves both technical expertise and customer service, as you'll be interacting with clients to provide support, repairs, and technical guidance.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose, maintain, and repair optical and hearing devices, including hearing aids, optical equipment, and other related technology
- Perform routine calibration and adjustments to ensure optimal performance of equipment
- Troubleshoot technical issues, providing timely and effective solutions to clients
- Conduct quality checks on products before they are sold or delivered to customers
- Offer technical support and advice to customers, both in-person and remotely, to ensure proper use of devices
- Train clients on the correct operation and maintenance of their equipment
- Ensure compliance with relevant health, safety, and regulatory standards for medical devices
- Maintain detailed records of repairs, servicing, and calibrations
- Support the sales team by providing technical expertise and assistance during customer inquiries or demonstrations
- Occasionally travel to customer locations for on-site repairs or installations (if necessary).
Job Requirements:
- A diploma or Certificate from a reputed technical institute.
- Proven experience working as a Biomedical Technician, preferably with a focus on optical or hearing-related devices.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (required for travel between customer locations or service centres).
- Knowledge of the repair, calibration, and maintenance of optical equipment (such as lenses, vision correction devices, etc.) and hearing aids will be an advantage.
- Excellent communication skills to interact with customers and colleagues effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in completing service reports and documentation.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple service requests.
- Knowledge of safety standards and regulations governing medical and optical devices.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
